Thomaz Bellucci won in straight sets against the Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. His head to head with Garcia-Lopez now stands at two to love. Thomaz played well shrugging off eleven out of twelve break point opportunities against serve.

He faces a stiffer task in victor trioki  , the rather unpredictable Serbian talent who received a bye in the first round.
