Thomaz Bellucci to play in the Australian Open singles

Last Wednesday, the list comprised of players who will play the 2013 Australian Open was unveiled . The tournament date is January 14 and it will happen in Melbourne. The Grand Slam will be attended by only one Brazilian, world No 33 Bellucci.

The names has been finalized sometimes back but it is been issued 2-3 days back. Only Bellucci got the golden opportunity to appear at the Australian Open singles, to be held in Melbourne. Total direct participants in this tournament is 104 and of them 102/1 ranking with assured jobs.

Indian Somdev Devvarman and Spaniard Tommy Robredo will play in this tournament with protected ranking. On the other hand, other two athletes David Nalbandian of Argentine and Mardy Fish of America were might not play the tournament. Most probably, Novak Djokovic is trying for the fourth championship which will be his third consecutive title.

World No 1 Roger Federer is looking forward to regain the trophy since 2010 which will be his fifth one in the tournament and Andy Murray is trying hard after the first conquest that he played in 2010 and 2011. Rafael Nadal is attempting to regain the crown and advocating the runner up in 2012.

Another list that holds the name of qualifying Brazilians will be release next month. The real fight for a spot in the main tournament begins from January 14. Thomaz Bellucci is one of the best known Tennis players and recently he defeated World No 1 Roger Federer. It was a surprising match because no one would have expected that Bellucci will defeat Roger. In the earlier two matches, Bellucci was defeated by Roger but this time it was only Bellucci who won the trophy and make his fans and home crowd happy.
